The purpose of the role is to manage the designated stores facility in line with all safety, stock control, hygiene and project requirements, including aspects of the management of owned and hired plant and tools.

What are my responsibilities?

· As the single point of contact in the project store at most times during the shift, time keeping is essential
· Ensure that all personnel using the stores facility adhere to the processes for inventory and site management, and always observe the Siemens 4 steps to zero harm
· Receive, check and sign for all deliveries made to site. Process onto site through the stores and updated the PO status through the appropriate use of the company's systems, in line with agreed KPI's
· On-going management of the project stores and the inventory, through the appropriate use of the company's systems, in line with agreed KPI's
· Liaising with the Material Interface Engineer/ Coordinator, buyer and suppliers in order to ensure project materials are delivered in a timely manner
· The call-off and management of consumables and plant, which are not included in the main project bill of materials. This may include the management of supplier consigned material, and/or customer owned materials
· The picking, kitting, packing and issuing of all equipment required for ongoing works
· Working with the key coordinator; ensure all equipment is calibrated where appropriate, serviced/repaired as required, and tested in line with requirements, and the appropriate data is logged and maintained in the company database in line with agreed KPI's
· Complete daily audits on plant and tools to ensure all items can be accounted for
· Facilities management. Ensuring any repairs and general maintenance is carried out in a timely fashion across all storage and stocking points
· Responsible for stores safety, security and hygiene. Continually carrying out risk assessments for known site specific hazards within the Logistics area of responsibility, report all hazards identified and take suitable action to mitigate risk

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· Significant experience of managing inventory in a fast moving materials stores environment (essential)
· Excellent communication skills (essential)
· Ability to adhere to policies and procedures (essential)
· Intermediate IT skills, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and inventory management using SAP or similar (essential)
· Work well on own initiative, and as part of a team (essential)
· Accurate & able to work to strict deadlines (essential)
· Hold a valid driving license for use of company vehicles; subject to drivers history check and fleet approval (essential)
· Holder of a valid FLT license, counterbalance and telehandler (essential)
· Methodical, meticulous, organized and reliable (essential)
· Hold a current PTS certificate (essential)
· Knowledge of rail signaling materials
· Worked in a rail signaling environment
· Experience of using SAP
