Your new role - challenging and future-oriented

We are seeking passionate and enthusiasticSolution Architect to support our Digital Mobility Team in Hong Kong. You will have the unique opportunity to work on the world’s largest IoT platform – MindSphere using cloud technologies (SAP / AWS / Azure). You will consult our domain experts (Mobility) and create the system architectures for new Digital Mobility offerings aligned with the business, our MindSphere Application Centers (Data Scientist and Data Analysts), PLM and R&D stakeholders, and defining the future of Mobility in Hong Kong.

You will be part of a highly innovative fast-paced development team, delivering commercial solutions targeted towards Holistic Digitalization, with analytics to help improve Resource Efficiency, Productivity & Sustainability.

What will be your duties?

• Work with cross-functional teams and stake holders to develop products and solutions

• Design, develop and test software solutions based on requirements and architectural /design guidelines with high quality

• Adopt and leverage best practices for development, testing and deployment

• Contribute towards development of Test framework and implement unit/automation/ integration tests

• Contribute to the automated CI/CD development and implementation

• Maintenance of features/ functionalities

• Ensure solution addresses security requirements of product

• Ensure integration and submission of solution into software configuration management system, within committed delivery timelines

• Continuous learning and growing

• Work in the office as part of a co-located Agile team

Technology and Innovation

• Responsible for leading the cloud systems and software architecture in an industrial application domain for Digital Mobility

• Identify technological advancements, gaps and risks that could impact future strategies and financial aspects of our solutions, lead change to react accordingly

• Drive the development of problem domain and solution domain architectures aligned with business strategies and requirements

• Elaborate and define requirements, both functional and non-functional, in cooperation with product management
Leadership

• Communicate and document systems architecture and software architecture

• Collaborate with teams distributed across different development centers, in face-to-face or in virtual meetings

• Inspire others and be pragmatically oriented.

Your skills and experience

Our ideal job owner is an exceptional IT Architect with a deep understanding of and with proven experience in state of the art cloud concepts and cloud technology paired with the application of cloud technology in an operational, industrial environment. He or she is able to map business needs to cloud technology concepts to enable new scalable business models; taking the lead when it comes to coordinate the complex developments.

Proven Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM discipline supplemented with real world programming experience.

• AWS / Azure Experience: 1 or more years of: Proficiency in developing and deploying cloud based solution using AWS or Azure; Understanding of core AWS/Azure services, uses, and basic architecture best practices

• Object-oriented design and coding skills (Java/C# and/or C++ on a UNIX or Linux / Windows Platform)

• Analytical skills (Spotfire and Tableau) and problem solving capabilities

Business And Collaborative Skills:

• Ability to learn / dive into the technology trends and to explore them in practice to implement Proof Of Concept

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Self-Directed, High Energy and desire to innovate

• A solid track record of working as a systems/software architect with focus on cloud technology.

• Several years of practical experience in cloud computing solutions, cloud security concepts and cloud operations concepts in an OT environment

• Experience in Internet of things (IoT) and web of things (WoT)
