Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy now has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Project Controller to join a dynamic and busy team due to growth in the business. Project Controllers are the financial partner to the Commercial Project Manager as well as the wider project team. Aspects of Cost Controlling, Forecasting, Accounting and Reporting fall within the scope of the Project Controlling Team.

We are looking for a motivated and communicative accounting professional, to become part of our enthusiastic Project Controller Team, predominantly supporting execution of the Onshore Wind Farm projects. You will be part of the project team and work closely with the Commercial Project Manager. You will also have interaction with internal departments within the UK, Denmark, Spain and Germany to obtain an in-depth understanding of the project financials.

In this role you will be responsible forprovidingclear, accurate and insightful analysis and commentary on the financial aspects of your project. The role includes undertaking detailed financial analysis, management reporting, cost controlling and forecasting.

What are my responsibilities?

The Financial Project Controller will be responsible for Financial Control and Reporting on the Service of the Onshore Wind farms. You will set up new projects in SAP, undertake cost control and related administration, create sales orders and project invoicing including issue of PO's. You will also be a part of budget and forecasting preparation and create long term forecasts as a basis for revenue recognition and control month end process.

This role will ensure compliance of projects in line with the finance objectives and provide regular reporting to the Project Management team. You will also co-ordinate with Contract Management on customer conditions, highlighting and commenting on areas for clarification. Lastly, some of your duties will also involve Vendor Management and administration of Project guarantees.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

This role is a perfect opportunity for a part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) to join a busy team and undertake a defined and well thought out career path. You will have experience of working in a similar role, ideally in a large and complex organisation. You will have a good understanding and practical experience of accounting principles including currency management, month end processes, project finance and periodic financial work. You will have excellent IT skills, be an advanced user of Excel and ideally have some experience of working with SAP.

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in a diverse and multi-cultural environment with stakeholder interaction across multiple remote sites.
