Overview
Siemens Industry Software is looking for a professional, passionate, curious, creative and friendly user experience designer, to join our team.
At Siemens Industry Software, we develop enterprise software for performing complex tasks. Our typical customers are manufacturers of cars, aircraft, ships, and electronic devices, and our typical users are engineers working for those customers. The challenge of a UX designer in our company is to break down the complexity; design modern and engaging solutions that would make the professional tasks simple and efficient.
We develop a large number of software applications, which vary in their nature; from rich, large-scale web and desktop applications, to light and focused tablet applications.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated user experience designer, with background and skills in graphic design.
Responsibilities
·
Work with industry experts to understand business requirements and users' mental model, tasks and goals;
·
Design compelling, clear, easy-to-use and efficient solutions;
·
Create high-fidelity, interactive mockups, to enable clear communication of the proposals;
·
Review proposed solutions with stakeholders; respond to feedback by adjusting the design as needed;
·
Follow the development process to ensure an accurate implementation;
·
Work with multiple teams on multiple products; teams located mainly in Israel and India;
·
Collaborate with designers in other departments of Siemens, to ensure consistency across the Siemens portfolio;
·
Graphically design screens;
·
Graphically design icons for different application styles (web, desktop…);
·
Graphic design is about 20% of the overall work. User experience is the focus.
Minimal Qualifications
·
2 years or more experience in UX design;
·
Formal education in user experience design;
·
Familiarity with prototype software such as Axure, XD, Sketch;
·
Proven skills with the Adobe Creative (mainly Photoshop and Illustrator);
·
Expertise in designing icons of different styles and sizes;
·
Exceptional creative flair and visual sense;
·
Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines;
·
A built-in will to constantly learn and improve;
·
Accuracy and attention to details;
·
Ability to understand engineering products and grasp user needs;
·
Ability to consider practical solutions;
·
Good time management; ability to balance work on several projects at a time;
·
Strong communication and organizational skills;
·
Fluent English (written and spoken);
·
Knowledge of HTML/CSS – nice to have.
