Job Description:

Position Overview

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for an early career Power Systems Study Engineer for their Power Systems Center of Competence. This person must have basic acknowledgment on MV and LV electrical power distribution systems for industrial, commercial, institutional and government customers. This person will report to the Service Operations Manager and will have no direct reports.

Responsibilities

Principal activity is the data collection, modeling and execution of power system studies including short circuit, device evaluation, protective device coordination, load flow and arc flash hazard analysis studies. Preferred candidate will have current Fundamentals of Engineering certification in Electrical Engineering. Some travel is required. Candidate will be responsible for supporting the CoC Professional Engineers across nation.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

All qualified candidates MUST have the following:

·  Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
·  Fundamentals of Engineering certification
·  Power systems applications engineering, design, testing and installation supervision background desired.
·  Candidate must be open to 20% travel.
