Job Description

PLM Architect – Major City North Central U.S.

Position Overview

Act as a technical lead in the software consulting environment, providing Teamcenter product expertise, designing and deploying innovative solutions configured to meet customer requirements and deliver value.

Responsibilities:

·  Participate with Solution architects in advising and proposing PLM Teamcenter solutions which guide and align with customer's vision.
· 
Use effective communications and technical expertise to establish and maintain customer expectations, and eventual adoption of proposed solution.

· 
Participate with Project Management in control of scope, cost,schedule, and quality.

· 
Interact with Product Development organizations to resolve issues that impact the solution.

· 
Develop industry best practices and templates to enhance the value derived from solutions delivered by Siemens Services organization.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

·  BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field of study, or equivalent experience.
· 
Must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and experience in a customer facing role.

· 
Ability and willing to travel about 50% of the time.

· 
5+ years of experience implementing or supporting Siemens Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management software, or other PLM system such as Windchill, Enovia, Agile in at least two industry domains.

· 
Knowledge of delivery framework and methodologies for a Professional Services organization.Experience in leading team members throughout the phases of software implementation projects including definition, installation, configuration, testing, deployment and post production support.

· 
5+ years of Teamcenter (or other PLM software) experience with specific PLM solution elements such as: Authoring Functional Specifications; Defining Work Streams, Work Breakdown Structures, Scenarios and Use Cases; Data Modeling; Management of CAD Data, Documents and Change Processes; Workflow creation, testing and troubleshooting.

Experience with Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) best practices.

· 
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

· 
Preferred locations: Livonia, MI; Fort Wayne, IN; Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; Milwaukee, WI; or Minneapolis, MN
