Parts Applications Engineer

The Parts Application Engineering role is accountable for developing a regional parts sales strategy and driving parts sales to meet business targets. The candidate will support the regional Sales teams by identifying, defining and developing parts opportunities and proposals, and will work directly with customers to develop parts programs to support operation and maintenance of their equipment. The role will involve support of customer meetings which entails travel within the region.

· Provide in-region technical and sales support to Sales Managers in pursuit of parts sales and developing programs and sales strategies to win orders.
· Define parts kits to operators.
· Support region in identifying new opportunities to sell parts
· Lead on-site customer conferences, planning maintenance and major parts projects, with support of regional sales team.
· Define spare parts priorities of regional sales and AGT Services (Customer Order Administrators, Parts Definers, Buyers)
· Drive internal support from engineering, purchasing, supply chain, and COAs to generate customer parts quotes, technical information, and execute projects.
· Prepare appropriate project cost, pricing and margin analysis, project and business risk analysis, bid approval documentation.
· Provide committing quotations (including pricing, lead-times, commercial conditions)
· Assignments will cover a wide variety of equipment including power turbines, gas turbine, combustion air filters, lubrication systems, etc. Strong technical background, experience with maintenance, and sound commercial capabilities would be preferred

Qualifications

Basic:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering and experience in an engineering role or Master’s Degree preferably MBA in engineering
· In lieu of degree, extensive experience in engineering / installation commissioning / field support / Customer service / Sales
· Commercial experience a plus
· Experience in project management

Preferred:

· Working knowledge of wide variety of equipment including power turbines, gas turbine, combustion air filters, lubrication systems, etc.
· Strong technical background and commercial capabilities
· Experience in Services Support - experience in identifying parts from drawings, process diagrams, Installation and or technical support of gas turbine packages and auxiliary systems
· Maintenance Planning Experience
