Material Resource Planning Controller

Siemens is looking to recruit a Material Resource Planning Controller based at our office in Warwick but supporting a Global supply chain process. This is an interesting and exciting opportunity to become part of the team in a growth area of Siemens.

Over the past few years,our aero-derivative turbine businesshas successfully grown to be a £1 billion per annum global business by focusing on the supply and support of aero-derivative gas turbine packages and equipment to the global oil & gas and power generation markets. The business has supplied over 4,000 gas turbines to customers in over 80 countries accumulating over 200 million hours of operating experience. It is our vision to be the customers' first choice for distributed power generation and compression systems solutions.

What are my responsibilities?

· Manage ERP Compliance, through ownership and maintenance of relevant parameters and in compliance with policies and practice
· Manage the assigned group of component and the relevant exceptions messages from MRP runs
· Ensure effective management of all inventory owned and the associated parts (material at outside points), including auditing
· Evaluate customer demand enquiries, commit to customers and respond to customers on part number issues internal and external
· Secure Commitment Acceptance as necessary, e.g. from Capacity Owner, Buyers and other MRP Controllers, Parts Controllers, Master Schedulers etc.
· Analyze customers demand (internal & external) requirements and supply situation
· Monitor and ensure delivery schedule adherence
· Establish regular reviews and ensure actions are taken to meet commitments
· Develop alternatives/substitutions in collaboration with technical and strategic functions to maintain requirements adherences
· Drive continuous improvement activities within their supply chain, e.g. optimize inventory levels, improve delivery reliability and reduce lead times and eliminate non-value added activities
· Monitor and fix invoicing issues related to their purchase orders
· Support the Sales and Operations Business Planning processs
· Ensure that the load and capacity implications are reviewed and understood for the defined set of part numbers
· Responsible for the issue and allocation of their assigned material from stock where late delivery is incurred
· Ensure that the delivery standards resulting from the Commitment Acceptance process are in line with business strategies and policies
· Be the agent for quality and cost standards, resulting from the Commitment Acceptable process and are in line with business policies
· Coordinate all activities to achieve successful new parts introduction
· Ensure all unresolved issues are escalated in a timely and effective manner

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Qualifications

Ideally a University Degree with related work experience in manufacturing environment
