We are recruiting for an Industrial Automation Trainer to join our SITRAIN UK business based in our Manchester offices. This is a varied role and a fantastic opportunity.

What are my responsibilities?

· Key responsibilities will include the preparation and presentation to staff and customers of a range of training courses on Siemens industrial automation products and solutions either at the Industry Training Centre, Manchester or at customer sites throughout the UK.
· Equally important are the proactive identification of further customer training requirements and the formulation of appropriate training solutions to meet those requirements.
· The role involves both presentation of standard courses and the negotiation, design and delivery of bespoke training programmes.
· Although most of the training is at the Industry Training Centre, Manchester regular travel throughout the UK is required to carry out sales visits and deliver training solution to customers.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· Candidates should preferably be educated to Degree/HND level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) and should have sound experience of working with industrial automation systems.
· Practical current experience of programming/commissioning or servicing industry automation based systems is essential. Siemens experience would be preferable but relevant experience from other manufacturers in this field would also be considered.
· There is a range of experience areas which would be considered for this role including PLCs, industrial networking, HMI, SCADA, Process Control, CNC and Drives.
· Candidates should have previous formal training experience, preferably customer training in an industrial environment, but the enthusiasm and aptitude to deliver quality training solutions to our customers will also be a key factor.
· The successful applicant will display a high level of self motivation and be willing to both use initiative and accept responsibility. Commercial awareness and a flair for developing and maximising business opportunities should also be evident.
