Finance Business Partner (15-18 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Job description

This Finance Business Partner position is responsible for partnering the UK Services business. Primary targets are to support the Services Management Team and drive efficiency, consistency and accuracy in the financial reporting process.

· Lead monthly Actual / Forecast reviews and annual budgeting process for the Services business
· Lead finance input on project reviews, risk assessments, process and control
· Develop business reporting to support senior management
· Drive cost management (incl. high cost reporting)
· Drive efficiencies, consistency and collaboration across the EMEA Zone Finance / Business teams
· Responsible for SMART reporting for all UK SISW Entities
· Coordinate and support UK Finance communications to the business
· Support the team with license order and statement of work approvals
· Support the team as required to ensure monthly closing/audit deadlines are met
· Various ad-hoc duties as and when required
· Travel required for team meetings, business reviews, etc

Key Relationships:

· Works closely with Finance teams across the EMEA region, and globally within Siemens Industry Software and the wider Siemens group.
· Interacts with Senior Management and Sales across the business

Prerequisites and Essential Functions:

· Relevant accounting qualifications & post qualified experience
· Experienced in commercial project management, project controlling and/or accounting
· Microsoft Office skills are essential – very strong excel
· Ideally Software / Siemens working experience - including IFRS and SOP 97-2revenue recognition
· Experience of a rigid compliance & SOX based approach
· SAP primary system knowledge
· Experience of Hyperion/Essbase type reporting systems
· Excellent communication skills
· Happy to work in a complex role with many competing requests.
· Be able to meet demanding deadlines in a pressurized environment
