Job Description:

Position Overview:

Performs assembly/electrical operations on sub-assemblies and final product.Fits, aligns, and assembles components and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.Understands complete scope of assembly on particular product(s).

Responsibilities:

· 
Assembles product by performing such representative duties as

· 
Reading and Interpretation of Electrical wiring diagrams

· 
Mounting of components to panels and enclosures per assembly drawings (transformers, power contacts, terminals, fuses or circuit breakers, etc..)

· 
Routing and bundling of wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards

· 
Point to point wiring of relays, controls, terminals, contacts, heaters, test switches, lights, etc..

· 
Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions

· 
Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication

· 
Communicate red line changes to Engineer, Team Lead, and/or Supervisor

· 
Operate and understand SAP to look up drawings and diagrams

· 
High standard of quality and attention to detail and strive for“Zero Error Build”

· 
Orders the required material(s) from the Store Room and places material(s) received from Store Room in the proper location(s).Reports status of stock of hardware and supplies to supervision.

· 
Appropriately verifies on the applicable document(s) (to include:routing/process inspection checklist) that all quality requirements have been met by signing documents as required.

Required Knowledge, Skill & Experience

· 
High School Diploma

· 
Ability to effectively use wire cutters, crimpers, soldering iron and other hand tools

· 
Strong technical and critical thinking skills

· 
Ability to push/pull panel carts averaging 35-50 lbs.

· 
Works under general direction of supervisor.

· 
Must be able to read drawings and any work instruction manuals.

· 
Must possess broad knowledge of, and the ability to operate hand tools to include:measuring devices (tape measure, micrometers, veneer calipers), cordless screwdrivers, screwdrivers, nut drivers, center punches, hammers, crimping tools, drills, torque wrenches, torque screwdrivers, pneumatic wrenches, hydraulic hole punches, hand wrenches, ratchets and sockets, jib cranes, air operated manipulator for lifting and pallet jacks.

· 
Basic computer skills are required (windows, Microsoft Office, etc).

· 
Basic math skills arealso required.

· 
Must be capable of working in a typical industrial work environment.
