Job Description

Mentor Graphics, a Siemens PLM business, has a suite of tools that aids our customers with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and to produce better vehicles for today's demanding market.We are particularly focused on tools to assist with E/E architecture, solving these problems:

· 
Capture of vehicle functions – building models of functions interconnected by signals and describing their implementation requirements

· 
Designing a logical architecture – allocating functions into ECUs and signals into networks.

· 
Implementing the network – packing signals into messages for the particular network protocol being used (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc).

We are looking for a Product Owner (PO) that will be principally responsible for getting high level requirements turned in class-leading features that delight our customers.

The PO works in a team of Product Owners and Product Architects that manage the incorporation of proposed content into our portfolio.The team works with market-focused teams, and indirectly the broader Siemens / Mentor ecosystem to help identify opportunities that result in new features and/or products. The PO has a good understanding of the product applications landscape and a high awareness of the domains and markets they serve.The PO will be knowledgeable about competitors and how to position successfully against them.That pool of knowledge and the leveraging of related qualitative and quantitative data is used to support feature prioritization.

POs are detail-oriented and will work to ensure that their products meet and exceed the highest standards of customer experience, technical ability, quality, and market acceptance.

The PO should be strong in area of E/E architecture design tools and deeply aware of product design and development processes.Experience in product management for software application would be highly beneficial.POs must have the ability to communicate and coordinate, as well as influence a range of commercial and technical staff.They must also be able to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities:

· 
Act as product owner for the E/E architecture portfolio of products, agreeing and implementing content interpreted and driven principally by the market-focused teams

· 
Must write requirements documentation and work with the engineering organisation to enhance the tool set and then validate the new capabilities.

· 
Define, validate, and prioritize marketing requirements for E/E architecture design, network design tools and related technologies.

· 
Work with the development organisation to describe the context, value and intent of the requirements and to work closely with the development team throughout the implementation ensuring that the software meets the intent.

· 
Develop materials to enable the sales force to present and demonstrate new features and to communicate the value and utility of these features.

· 
Create and deliver product training to internal staff and customers. Create e-learning materials. Ensure that user documentation is effective.

· 
Communicate the vision for the product line and acting as an evangelist both internally and externally.

· 
Development of demonstration materials, data sets and videos to communicate the value of the tools.

· 
Provide product support to Mentor Graphics sales channel, working directly at customers' sites in pre- and post-sales situations. This duty will involve some level of international travel.

· 
Be highly aware of competition and work closely with domain and market leaders to define core positioning and messaging for the product

· 
Manage development of product collateral and training to support commercial exploitation of the Portfolio.Be an evangelist for the portfolio and publish for its benefit.

· 
E/E Architecture – Mentor Graphics / Siemens' solution for E/E architecture - Capital Systems. Devices – The definition of device definitions in ICDs and their consumption throughout the downstream design flow.https://www.mentor.com/products/electrical-design-software/capital/capital-devices .

Requirements:

Education: Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering (SW affinity) background. Best with an MSc level degree.

Experience:

· 
Knowledge in Software engineering & Embedded Systems Design & Software architectures.

· 
CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet should be familiar words as well as AUTOSAR.

· 
Coding is not required, but coding skills are a big advantage to gain credibility with the team.

· 
Experience within the Automotive/Avionics/Machinery/IoT industry is a plus.
