Customs Classification Specialist with German and English (f/m/d)

Job description
We are currently looking for German and English speaker for a position of Customs Classification Specialist (f/m/d) to join our team in Hub Warsaw for Smart Infrastructure Division. The main mission of this role is to ensure the best-in-class customs conformity.
What are my responsibilities?
- Customs classification of Siemens products due to the Harmonized Tariff System.
- Preparation of supporting documentation, including obtaining it from suppliers, with reasoning for classification.
- Maintenance of correct and complete product customs classification in ERP systems and/or product data base – master or transaction data.
- Analyses of technical/commercial characteristics of goods (hardware) following legal requirements in foreign trade and customs law.
- Close cooperation with various internal departments and external business partners (globally).
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Good written and verbal communication in German and English (min. B2) - is must have
- Technical background/education in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or similar technical areas - is necessary
- Knowledge about rules of tariff classification is nice to have
- Willingness to develop in the field of tariff classification
- Analytical skills.
- High attention to quality and details.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outllook).
- Knowledge in SAP/ERP and PLM systems.
- Open-mindedness and constructive attitude to performed tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Team spirit and intercultural skills, able to work in virtual environment.
- Willingness to participate in business trips (~ 10%)
