This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Pro-actively manage & develop current and new suppliers 
  • Develop and actively drive commodity strategies to support the cross functional needs  and contribute cost reductions, process improvements and increase revenue
  • Align with local, global, and regional commodity managers to support cross functional needs 
  • Develop key strategic supplier partnerships that enable Siemens to be more competitive
  • Collaborate with others commodity managers, share best practice and be a team player.

  • Negotiating and managing products and service suppliers.
  • Ability to work pro-actively while anticipating next steps while following Siemens Healthineers policy and procedures. 
  • Self motivated individual whom can work independently and with cross functional teams
  • Develop key strategic supplier partnerships and drive strategies
  • Broad knowledge of the healthcare market in North America
  • Ability to work with and influence cross functional partners 
Required skills to have for the success of this role:
  • BA/BS in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. 
  • Minimum 5+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities
  • Extensive experience with price and contractual agreement negotiations
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in supplier sourcing processes and supplier development
