How do I apply?

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Supports the Business Systems landscape within scope of responsibilities, both planned proactive improvement requests and reactive issue resolution.

Monitors Business systems and support services for scope of responsibility, ensures that quality standards and service level targets are met.

Provides technical support for existing business systems, minimising the impact of any technical issues on the end users.

Contributes and supports planning, budgeting, design and alignment of service management processes and IT solutions landscapes.

Implements programs and procedures for safeguarding data/information security and safety.

May coordinate relevant systems tests, and designs and documents new processes.

Liaise with the central Siemens Corporate IT centres of excellence, to interface with centrally managed systems and services, supporting the evaluation of new capability.

Shares best practise across the different Siemens business units, seeking opportunities for standardisation and economies of scale.

Liaise with internal & external service providers and software vendors to provide systems which meet business requirements, supporting processes and the overall business strategy.

Supports change-release processes and implementation of IT security guidelines.

Maximises the effectiveness of business system usage, supporting the business stakeholders in capturing the value of the improvements made to business process, through the use of systems support.

May perform 1st and 2nd level user help desk activities, individual coaching and training, to maximise user confidence and satisfaction.

Keeps abreast of trends and industry standards in relation to Business systems capability and IT Service and Solution Management, incorporating into proposals where appropriate.

Competence Requirements

Mandatory

Extensive experience of supporting Business Systems in a commercial environment.

Well developed communication skills. Able to quickly build rapport with business stakeholders.

Able to work to deadlines and changing priorities, whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times.

Proven ability to present to and positively influence stakeholder opinions and perceptions.

Actively embrace change and demonstrate a flexible attitude towards business change.

Desirable

A proven track record in a technical Business Systems support role.

Experience of applying the ITIL standards and approaches to systems support.

Experience of stakeholder management process, including Relationship Management

Experience of working with and managing external 3rd party suppliers and support teams.

Demonstrate a willingness to share experience and best practise, for the benefit of the business as a whole.
