The Building Automation Sales Executive is a technical sales professional that is key to growing the building automation new construction business in inland WA state area in vertical markets such as Healthcare, Corporate Real Estate, Data Centers, K-12, Universities, Federal and State facilities. Why is this so important? Our Sales Executives are ambassadors of quality Siemens technology, products and services, and your technical and financial expertise, along with critical thinking and negotiation skills, will help tailor our customer’s needs into winning solutions, for the direct end-user service market.
As a Building Automation Sales Executive, you will:
- Grasp market trends, competitors, and influencers. Stay updated on automation, electrical, fire, mechanical, IoT markets.
- Create growth-focused plans for regions and verticals.
- Spot new market opportunities, devise strategies as a contractor sales rep (selling to owners/general contractors).
- Maintain a robust opportunity funnel, meet order/profit goals, collaborate with operations, excel in customer outcomes.
- Partner with other divisions, attend events, build networks (ASHRAE, AEE, USGBC) to bolster Siemens presence.
- Influence specs via engineer relationships, position Siemens as a digital service leader.
- Craft value-based proposals, work with cross-functional teams, ensure project satisfaction.
- Stay informed through sales meetings, workshops, travel up to 10%.
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or another related technical degree, with at least 5-8 years of sales, business development, or consulting within the building automation industry
- Strong technical and commercial knowledge of building automation systems and applications required, preferably within all previously mentioned targeted markets
- Must be willing and available to travel 5-10% overnight for training and business development. Position will require travel to Pullman, WA 2-3 days a week regularly.
- Financial expertise to estimate and sell technical solutions and service offerings effectively and independently
- Account development and strategic sales skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and excellent organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations to participate in the required Siemens vehicle reimbursement program (FAVR)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and strong networking relationships within the local building automation, or mechanical/general contracting market

- The pay range for this position is $65,240 - $111,840. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
