The challenge

Embark on a journey working with Siemens Aero Derivative Gas Turbines, based at our Iceni Centre in Warwick. An established world leader in this highly innovative field, this business has been providing solutions for global power generation and oil and gas projects for over 50 years. Specialising in delivering maximum efficiency from the prime fuels extracted from beneath the earth’s surface.Become part of a wold-class team, and work closely with our engineers to create ground breaking solutions-

· Your first year will be spent studying full-time, before joining us for “hands-on” training at the Warwick Iceni Centre during term breaks
· Your second year will be work-based, designed to provide a comprehensive product and service knowledge supported by college day release
· Your third year is also work-based supported by college day release, intended to identify the specific role within the engineering discipline best suited to the individual
· You’ll gain an NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline, plus a technical engineering qualification before having the opportunity to join 352,000 people across the world

The candidate

We’re looking for bright, inquisitive students who want to make a difference -

· GCSE’S grade C or above in Maths, English, Science are required and an Engineering based subject is desirable
· An interest in practical engineering aligned to a problem-solving attitude
· Are flexible, know how to connect with others and pride yourself on bringing positive ideas to the team
· Enjoy jumping in and, with the support from us, feel comfortable taking responsibility for tasks
· Want to succeed, aspire to excellence and think outside the box

Location

Whilst the role is based in Warwick, our apprentice roles could take you anywhere in the UK, so you’ll need to go where this journey takes you. In return, you’ll get the chance to work with inspirational teams impacting entire cities, countries – and the shape of things to come.
