WEB DESIGNER

ShowCaster is the web’s live TV platform - used by broadcasters and publishers including Sky, Channel 4, zeebox and The Sun across formats such as Glee, Skins and Made In Chelsea. ShowCaster is in an extremely exciting space - driving change in the rapidly evolving social TV industry through 2nd screen applications.

We are looking for an Interactive Designer to join our team - you will own all aspects of front-end design, working closely with our engineering team. You will have a passion for UI and UX, a strong understanding of modern design practice and an obsession for detail.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

- Owning and taking responsibility for all aspects of design, UI and UX across multiple products.
- Interpreting high level requirements and translating these into great designs.
- Prototyping concepts and iterating their design.
- Ensuring our UI looks amazing and performs exceptionally on all devices and platforms we support.
- Iterating and optimising interfaces based on feedback and analytics.

Desired profile

- Rock solid HTML and CSS. You’ll be interested in cutting edge aspects of HTML5 / CSS3.
- Usability. A good understanding of what turns a good product into a great product.
- UI tools. Photoshop / Fireworks / Illustrator.Wire-framing / prototyping / SVG / vector graphics.
- Front end development. Javascript / jQuery / Flash.
- Multiplatform. Desktops, tablets, smartphones, TVs.
- Beneficial, but not required: PHP, MySQL, SEO, video editing / production.
