What do you get to do in this position?

· The Technical Publications team creates instructional content for installation and use of Schneider Electric hardware, software, and solutions. Our mission is to enhance our user's experience with our products by delivering high-quality, user-targeted assistance in a variety of media. These include: PDFs, online and mobile help, video, and printed documents.
· We are currently using MadCap Flare and ArborText by PTC to produce multiple outputs for our software user assistance. We are seeking a candidate with strong technical writing skills, and prefer someone with experience using Flare, ArborText, or other (equivalent) topic-based authoring tools
· We are looking for an experienced technical writer to work mainly on user manuals, install sheets, and online documentation. Our IoT products provide a comprehensive views of energy consumption enabling energy efficiency actions. The audience is often highly-technical engineers who need to be educated and instructed on how to commission the hardware and sometimes the software as a total solution.
· The successful candidate will be a solid technical writer familiar with the methods and tools of the technical writing field. We need a user-focused, team player who can work with our subject matter experts (SMEs), learn processes quickly, and take charge of the writing project.

Desired profile

This job might be for you if:

·  Excellent writing skills Writing well in English is critical to the position
·  Bachelor degree
·  3+ years of experience writing and preparing technical publications, especially working on projects in an engineering agile environment. Working with products in the electrical field is a plus.
·  MadCap Flare/ ArborText by PTC or proven knowledge of other topic-based authoring tools
·  Microsoft Office
·  Drawing tools such as Adobe Illustrator or ISO Draw
