Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our team as the Project Technical Engineer in based at our customer site around the Dublin area but is likely to require travels to other parts of Ireland. You will need to be available to join out-of-hours call-out rota every 6 weeks.

Your mission:

Responsible for the execution of HVAC/BMS Projects, following applicable company polices and processes

Your key responsibilities:

Understand the Customer expectations, technical specifications and the scope of works required to satisfy the specification

· Supervision of, and preparation of fundamental specification, programming, commissioning, final tuning of HVAC controls
· Execute the project, following progress in line with Project plan (scope, schedule and budget) until completion.
· Act as front face of Schneider Electric to the customer, interacting professionally with the customer (correspondences, emails, calls, meetings).
· Ensure highest level of customer satisfaction.
· When required, liaise with partners & suppliers executing the project in full compliance with Schneider-Electric processes, health, safety & quality instructions and governance principles.
· Providing engineering and commissioning assistance on projects as required
· Regular attendance to site for meetings, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance activities.
· Perform factory and site acceptance tests, identifying actual and potential non-conformances
· Assist with project management, planning and review of technical decisions and challenges
· Develop and maintain documentation, drawings, technical and activity reports in a timely manner, also assist with proposals, quotations and estimates
· Strive to develop and maintain technical best practice
· Provide mentoring and development of less experienced technical staff as well as job project/contract training for customers
· Additional activities to meet contracted requirements and/or to provide customer service and support
· Systematic diagnosis and troubleshooting of maintained systems
· Undertaking of Small works projects including cost effective and efficient design of BMS HVAC controls systems

About you:

·
You need to have a Degree qualification in electrical, mechanical, refrigeration or electronic discipline and/or relevant project execution experience.

·
You must have a good understanding of HVAC and Building Services Applications

·
Sound working knowledge of HVAC systems and associated plant/control systems and philosophies and an understanding of power and control systems

·
You must have the ability to work independently without supervision

·
Solid working knowledge of computers, operating systems and associated peripherals

·
English fluency is a must and another language will be valuable

·
Proficient with MS project CAD, Visio as well as Word and Excel

·
You must hold a valid driving license

Advantageous:

· Knowledge of Industrial networking and communications
· Sound commercial acumen, experience in cost monitoring & control, quality control, subcontractor management and designer management
· Familiarity with SQL databases and queries
