As a Project Engineer you will be accountable for managing large scale/high complexity Customer project orders which may span over multiple years from start to finish, so that they are completed on time and within budget. This includes initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing of customer projects/programs. The successful candidate will confirm customer requirements, which include drawings, specifications, job site requirements, bill of material alignment with specifications & clarify exceptions. In this position you will manage the complete job process from order preparation, through manufacturing release, product shipment, post shipment support and financial reconciliation utilizing a base knowledge of Schneider Electric products and their use. In addition, you will mentor or supervise immediate work group, serving as a resource to assist with work direction and coaching through complex projects.

Your responsibilities

· Take ownership for validating the project's statement of work and contract terms with the customer, including both technical and commercial elements.
· Develop a project schedule, risk management plan, and communication plan to ensure expectations are being met internally and externally. You will be directly engaged with the internal manufacturing facilities and third party vendors as well as confirm project plan elements with the customer and internal stakeholders.
· Lead the execution of the customer's project order , verifying execution of the project through kick-off meetings, communication to all parties and exchange of technical requirements and project plan information.
· Monitor and control the performance of the customer's project through it's lifecycle. The key activities include: task completion verification, project team monitoring, managing project updates across team members, schedule reporting, issue resolution, contract administration, and risk management.
· Lead the closeout of the project to include financial reconciliation, verification of job site equipment arrival, installation, start-up, and training support completion through review of internal system information. Validate project performance against target profitability.
· Compare/differentiate/propose alternate products with additional customer value compared to competition. Solving problems with customer interaction that result in positive feedback and improved relationship.

About you

· We are looking for an ambitious and driven candidate with previous experiences within a Project Management capacity. Previous professional experiences within the secure power field are advantageous.
· Fluent in German & English with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. French business language skills are advantageous. Any additional language is an asset.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office environment, CRM systems (salesforce.com or equivalent).
· Personal qualities such as: self-driven, autonomous, influential, perseverant, reliable, direct, curious and creative.
