Purpose/Summary:
The Power System Architect (PSA Midwest Region) is a commercial and technical resource in support of the National Sales Force when pursuing large projects. The individual shall understand the pursuit of large projects with a keen understanding of the value chain members associated with these pursuits. An in depth understanding of customer buying behaviors, project engagement, and commercial pursuit strategy creation is required. The individual shall be capable of conversing with all personnel engaged in the specifying/buying process inclusive of C-level personnel, consultants, contractors, end users, and other decision makers. The individual must possess an advanced level of knowledge for low voltage and medium voltage distribution products in commercial, industrial, and OEM applications. Knowledge and application experience with relay's and communication protocols is preferred. The individual shall embrace new technologies, understand, and clearly articulate the value of connected product architectures (IoT / EcoStructure Power) to customers. The individual must be motivated, self-driven, and a strategic thinker. Must be able to project manage multiple initiatives, work in a team environment, influence others, and possess strong interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Establish solid relationships with internal and external audiences to drive large project growth and profitability

Able to adapt presentation skills to meet specific audience needs

Sell and leverage the sales teams to execute Power Systems/Products initiatives critical to our growth ambitions

System of Management

·
Implement L/XL System of Management (SOM) in the Midwest US sales geography

·
Align with NSF to increase top line sales and hit rate for extra large projects through Early Project Incubation

·
Clearly articulate the best offer and solution through system application knowledge, project bid strategy, and utilization of product/quotation resources.

·
Manage pipeline of engaged opportunities (Coordinate with ASM/Sales to determine projects where we have the “right to win”. Recommend which projects not to pursue)

·
Improve overall hit rate and margin on projects where engaged

Offer Support

·
Provide offer launch and ongoing technical support for MV/LV equipment: Includes all aspects of launches: Awareness, specifying, technical & commercial internal training for competency build, external training, competitive analysis & education, in depth application expertise

·
System Design assistance and quote optimization

·
Provide EcoStruxure expertise, promotion, and design support (IoT Architectures)

·
Identify individuals for technical competency build and formulate a plan to further develop the individuals

·
Primary Lead: EcoStruxure Power ambassador for NSF

Qualifications:

·
High Energy with ability to influence others

·
Low voltage and medium voltage application expertise

·
Excellent presentation skills

·
Travel 25%-30%

·
Minimum 10-15 years Business Development and/or Sales Experience in complex sales environments
