We are seeking individuals who are passionate about alternative energy to assume the role of Systems Engineer (12 month contract) based in our Burnaby, BC site.
The person in this role will be working as part of urgent response team and will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to commissioning and service teams working on utility scale PV inverters

Job Description:

• Providing technical support to remote service and commissioning teams.
• Interact with project execution teams and providing guidance during installation, commissioning and operational stages of product life cycle
• Collaborate daily with local firmware and hardware teams
• Analyzing event logs and system operational data, identifying trends and recommending troubleshooting steps
• Performing and documenting root-cause analysis and working with other team members to reproduce and resolve issues
• Interpreting various safety, functional and utility interconnect requirements
• Conducting and/or supervising system tests
• Participate in the preparation and review of product manuals, application notes, service documentation, etc.
• Write detailed analysis and test reports and prepare engineering presentations

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

• Degree in Power Electronics / Electrical Engineering, (Masters preferred)
• 3+ years related industry experience with systems engineering
• Demonstrated project awareness and technical leadership skills
• Experience interpreting complex systems schematics and single line diagrams
• Ability to work with various internal and external teams and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Always required to be a team player
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential
• Strong aptitude for learning new processes and procedures
• Attention to detail
• Analytical problem solving
• Self directed and highly motivated
