Job Purpose

Our ClearSCADA Software Engineers' main responsibility is to develop, extend and support Schneider Electric's ClearSCADA product to meet new market and user requirements. The team uses agile development techniques.

ClearSCADA is an advanced wide area telemetry SCADA package with proprietary online database, extensive support for telemetry and integrated graphics package. It is used in large wide area monitoring of assets and plant, for example monitoring water networks for water authorities.

We are looking primarily for a developer that has UI experience; this role involves writing software to add to our ClearSCADA offering, which includes updating and maintaining the ClearSCADA desktop client and updating and maintaining the ClearSCADA web client. Whilst this will be a primarily UI focussed role, gaining an understand of the ClearSCADA server works will be essential.

We will train you in ClearSCADA while you initially spend time developing smaller features and fixing bugs. Over time this will progress to include larger development tasks, for example adding new features to the web or desktop client.

An enthusiastic candidate new to professional software development will also be considered if you have a strong desire to learn and develop your skills.

Qualifications :

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

·  You have strong experience in modern C#
·  You're experienced in WPF
·  You have multi-threaded application development experience
·  You possess strong problem solving and analytic skills
·  You're experienced in Microsoft Visual Studio
·  You have knowledge of writing software for large distributed systems (e.g. client/server)
·  You have experience with Microsoft Windows platform
·  (Desirable) You have worked with Agile development techniques.
·  (Desirable) You have experience in Xamarin, Android Studio or Actipro
