Seeking a summer intern to assist with marketing and sales initiatives.Candidate will be responsible for positioning Schneider Electric as a thought leader in data center operations thru social media platforms. Applicants should have a strong knowledge of various social media sites, especially LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and blogs. Job will entail identifying relevant topics and content for blogs and social media posts and monitoring online forums for relevant discussions to suggest team participation. Intern will assist the product marketing team with competitive analysis, provide sales support such as research to identify target customers and develop a newsletter distributed to sales teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Daily online research to identify and recommend content relevant to Data Center Operations which should be shared on social media to position VP as thought leader

· Monitor data center-focused chat groups on LinkedIn and other platforms, identify opportunities to participate in relevant conversations

· Assist with the executing blog strategy, propose relevant topics

· Conduct competitive analysis, present findings to executive team

· Online research to identify potential customers in targeted industries, compile contact list

· Provide sales support as needed

· Administrative support for VP/GM Data Center Operations to include travel arrangements, expense reports and assistance with PowerPoint presentations

Desired profile

Qualifications :

EDUCATION—MINIMUM REQUIRED LEVEL:

College student with major in communication, marketing or engineering preferred

Ability to intern part time starting in the summer and continuing through the next school year (reduced hours)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS —REQUIRED:

Working knowledge of social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)

Excellent writing skills

Strong PowerPoint skills

Basic understanding of how data centers work and data center industry and trends preferred but not required

No travel required
