Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Remote Support Enginee r - Alarms to join our Field Services Bureau team in Warrington.

Mission:

The role of a Remote Support Engineer is to provide 1st line remote technical support for contracted customers on a variety of Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS). The role focuses on alarm monitoring and investigation services with remote fix where possible to sustain and promote first time fix rate for our connected customers.

This is a great entry level role for someone with a genuine interest in engineering and technology.

Responsibilities:

The role primarily entails working on a sophisticated heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) controls, via the Building Energy Management Systems. The aim, to minimise system downtime through; remote online diagnostics of problems; rectification / escalation; and communicating solutions effectively to the customer.

As a Remote Support Engineer you will work as part of a close knit technical team where everyday is different. Daily activities are changing regularly, duties will include, Remote Alarm Monitoring, rectification, escalation, 1 st line helpdesk support, Call logging to maintaining accurate records, generating analytical / management reports for customers and liaising with personnel at all levels including; customers, administration team, account/regional managers , other engineers.

This role is shift based covering days and afternoons on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with. You will work a 37.5 hour week with a requirement to do some overtime.

About you:

To be successful in this role knowledge / experience of the following in similar position would be preferable:

- A genuine interest in engineering and technology

- an understanding of IT, networks and programming

- ability to apply engineering principles to diagnose, identify and rectify faults

Desirable

- an understanding of HVAC and Building Services Applications

- an understanding of Schneider Electric's products and applications

The role encompasses continuous training to ensure we are up to date on all systems that we provide support for, so a behaviour to utilising time effectively to learn all aspects of the software / hardware is essential.
