Full support for thin client and Cloud-based implementations allows client companies to minimise implementation costs while maintaining high performance with granular control over access to data and services.

About the role

Spiral Suite incorporates computationally-demanding mathematical models provided through modern, easy-to-use interfaces to help our customers make better supply chain decisions. The emphasis is on developing robust, highly optimised and scalable solutions offering flexibility across desktop, web, mobile and programmatic interfaces.

From testing early designs and validating end user workflows, through to performing functional and non-functional testing on finalised features and releases, QA Engineers play a key role in the end-to-end development and deployment process.

As a QA Engineer, you will work as part of an Agile team, with responsibilities including:

· Developing and maintaining automated test suites
· Developing and maintaining in-depth manual test scripts
· Performing manual functional, system, regression and exploratory testing
· Performing non-functional testing, focusing on areas such as performance and usability
· Providing structured and qualitative feedback to developers, product owners and other stakeholders
· Contributing to ongoing improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of testing and QA practices.

Desired profile

Essential

·  Strong engineering, scientific or mathematical background with excellent problem-solving, analytical and numerical skills
·  Experience of QA for Windows desktop and/or web-based software
·  Proven interest in software quality and user experience
·  Proven ability to quickly understand detailed technical requirements
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desirable

·  Experience of testing in large, complex software projects (commercial or academic)
·  Experience of collaborating with business and domain experts
·  Experience with writing automated tests (e.g., Coded UI, Selenium WebDriver)
·  Experience of creating and maintaining detailed functional and non-functional test plans
·  Working knowledge of C#, VB.NET or other modern programming languages
·  Experience of Microsoft Visual Studio
·  Experience of TFS, JIRA or other work item tracking systems
·  Strong technical understanding of Windows operating systems, e.g., memory usage, threading, network performance
·  Experience of setting up, using and tearing down virtual machines and servers
·  Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases
·  Experience of working as part of an Agile team

Salary and Benefits

This role enjoys a salary of up to £40,000 depending on background and past experience.
