The Product Marketing Intern will be part of the team reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Portfolio Manager and has a primary responsibility to assist the Product Management team in their duties across Controllers & Recorders, Power Controllers and Systems Products.
The role will be to perform several offer management roles, which relate to the lifecycle activities associated with the Eurotherm product portfolio. This is a wide-ranging role, which would include producing marketing documentation for process controller and data recorder products, assisting with the assessment and implementation of product updates and enhancements, dealing with product queries from around the globe and supporting the product managers with other tasks, as highlighted in the key responsibilities.
The candidate will have an opportunity to learn and practice some marketing processes and methods in an international context, whilst using engineering skills and understanding to support the sales and engineering teams. The will also gain an insight into key skills and competencies for marketing and product management roles.
Create and update product order codes and deal with issues as they arise relating to these
Write drafts for control and recorder product-based marketing / technical notes, assisted by product managers
Support competitor cross-referencing tasks
Take the lead in engineering demo applications and considering the possibility of standardized offers
Own the process of producing specification sheets / datasheets / case studies / application notes, based upon a technical understanding of the associated products and processes.
Supporting the team with proofing requirements and Offer Safety (subject to training)
Raising engineering change notes (ECNs)
Organizing and supporting failure mode effects analysis (after training) as part of the product development process
Curation and administration of website content
Work together with product managers to produce ‘proof of concept’ solutions for projects.
Assist the product marketing teams as required
· Able to demonstrate good communication
· Excellent technical writing
· Good knowledge and application of Microsoft Office products, including: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
· Some knowledge of marketing processes
· As the role includes some engineering aspects, a broad understanding of process control principles and control systems is desired, but not critical
· General understanding of cyber-security, digitization and Industry 4.0 market trends
· A basic level of project management
· Able to work individually and in a team
· Enthusiasm and willingness to succeed
· A levels A-C in Maths & Physics, or equivalent HND with Maths, Science or Engineering focus *Either pre-University/College, or as a Year in Industry as part of the course*
