What is a custom bus associate?

Associate that assembles bus bars on switchgear units. Associate will spend majority of time standing, bending to install custom bus to customer orders.

Am I qualified?

Am I good in math and have logical thinking? Do I have previous mechanical assembly experience? Can you read and interpret drawings? If you are a fit for this description, please apply. An assessment and interview will be scheduled.

Custom Bus

Assemble complex configurations of bus bars up to 6 laminations. Must be able to follow all engineering as well as custom designed bus bar diagrams. Ability to think logically to create complex layouts of supporting systems given general rules and guidelines. Able to work under stress of deadlines and constant changes to design of assemblies. Much of activity includes holding bus bars overhead while inserting hardware. Must be able to safely operate drill press, band saw, grinders, cutters, and any other required tool needed to perform non-standard installations. Will be expected to perform any task assigned. Must be willing to work overtime on short notice to expedite customer needs. Must have positive internal and external customer service attitude.

Minimum Requirements:

Knowledge of Standard Assembly. Previous experience in Switchboards Standard Connectors preferred. Candidate should be energetic, self-motivated, and possess a good work record.

Position requires lifting and holding in place assembly parts weighting up to 35 lbs. repeatedly over work period. Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, blue prints, material lists, and other source material. Position requires periodic overtime on a short notice to meet customer service. Candidate must be highly motivated and self-directed with ability to work in a team environment. Must possess a good work record.
