Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler (2.5 months) for our Burnaby, B.C. Smartgen Assembly team. The position is responsible for the production of high quality subassemblies for our next generation grid tie solar inverters.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the on time delivery of a variety of magnetic parts and subassemblies and documentation
· Responsible for maintenance / troubleshooting of machinery, tools, and the work area
· Responsible for the care and control of finished goods inventory and raw material
· Responsible for communication to the team of roadblocks and/or schedule changes
· Responsible for continuously monitoring quality and documenting issues
· Responsible for providing process improvement ideas

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Requires 1-2 years of experience in a production environment doing mechanical assembly
·  Requires strong mechanical aptitude
·  Requires experience with pneumatic and hydraulic hand tools and permanently mounted equipment
·  Requires strong written and verbal communication skills
·  Requires working knowledge of computers with Windows applications
·  Requires experience following processes documents and safe work practices
·  Beneficial to have experience in training of others
·  Able to work shifts
