JOB Description – Schneider Electric Partner Projects –Apprenticeship Programme 2018
Job Title: Engineering Apprentice
Reports to: Placement Manager / Line Manager
Purpose of job: To undertake a 3 year program at our Telford headquarters where you will be provided with on the job training in various manufacturing and electrical engineering depts whilst studying at Telford College

To address this evolving need Schneider Electric has invested in an electrical engineering level apprentice programme. As a part of our transformation we are looking for apprentices to join our teams to help design and implement solutions for smart buildings of the future.
The Apprentice will undertake training that is trusted, relevant to our business needs and transferrable across our business. The three year programme has work based “apprentice can do” placements in various engineering depts. at our Telford site including but not limited to Product Support, Tendering , Package contracts and Panel Building . You will gain a BTEC qualification in electrical Engineering. We've partnered with Telford College where you will attended one and a half days per week .

General Background and Experience
The holder of this job will:
•Have an understanding of electrical engineering and show an interest in the industry, demonstrated by previous work, coursework or assignments undertaken in school & or College.
Personal Attributes
The holder of this job will:
•Be self-motivated and resourceful, flexible with respect to changing tasks and available at the times required to perform them
•Be customer/results focused
•Be willing to learn similar disciplines on related distribution equipment
Skills and Qualifications
The holder of this job will:
•Possess good written and verbal communication skills
•Have good inter-personal skills
· Have at least 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English.
We are looking for candidates to start in September 2018.
