Schneider Electric has an exciting opportunity for YOU to join the team as: Energy Engineer ā€“ Scotland

Your Role:

The Energy Engineer will form a key part of the ESS efficiency organization and will be positioned full time within an existing client's facility. The individual fulfilling this role will be responsible to help the existing SE client achieve their Energy & Sustainability goals, specifically in designing, developing and delivering highlighted energy conservation projects.

The measurements of success will be on developing close client working relationships, being seen as an integral part of the client's team and to actively develop fully working projects off the back of highlighted energy conservation measures in order to achieve the client's energy and sustainability targets.

Your responsibilities:

Creating strong, multi-level relationships within key operational personnel on the appointed site.

Proactive collaboration with ESS Energy Consultancy, Energy Bureau, Project Development and Business Development Teams.

Full business case development through to detailed design, tendering and delivery. Including but not

limited to the following: Preparation of designs, estimates, specifications and tender documentation.

Project risk analysis and assessment during development phase.

Delivery resource identification (internal / subcontract)

Management of internal project design teams, external consultants, and contractors.

Close co-ordination with other disciplines and specialists.

About you:

You will be articulate an engineering focused with strong communication skills and the ability to interface with stake holders and the wider team effectively.

You will be a team player but someone who can also work autonomously

Strong written and verbal communication skills (including delivering presentations) will be an area of strength for you.

Disciplined to drive towards deadlines with attention to detail

Ambitious and driven with the desire to self develop learning new skills and gaining new experience.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Degree qualified or equivalent in Building Services Engineering (IENG, BENG or similar)

7+Years Practical Experience.

Knowledge of H&S / CDM requirements

Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements
