What do you get to do in this position?

Schneider Electric is undergoing a global cloud transformation programme, spanning 160 countries in all five continents, led by the Schneider Cloud Centre of Excellence (SCCoE). Working within the SCCoE, the Cloud Applications and Integrations Architect will be a member of the Cloud Architecture team.
The global cloud transformation programme, driven by mass migrations and applications optimisations, as well as the establishment of the SCCoE within Schneider Electric's IT organisation, aims to transform Schneider Electric's business and IT capabilities with the help of cloud technology.
The Cloud Application and Integrations Architect's role is to help keep that transformation as forward-thinking and seamless as possible, contributing to the overall strategy, project execution and operations in his/her areas of expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
 Leads the Applications and Integrations Platform in the development and implementation of the overall global enterprise cloud architecture strategy, conducting application and integration architecture assessments and defining future solutions and roadmaps.
 Collaborates with Cloud Architects, Product Managers, Platform Leads, Application Owners and Application and Development teams to architect and design cloud-optimised solutions.
 Works with Architecture, Operations, and Application Development organisations to choose appropriate technology solutions and facilitates complete integration into the Schneider Electric environments.
 Develops and maintains application standards in partnership with Architecture, Operations, and Application Development.
 Leads training and technical forums, serves as both a formal and informal mentor, and executes other initiatives designed to share knowledge across Application and Development Platforms and/or Technology teams.
 Develops and executes strategies to increase Cloud Application and Integrations Development knowledge throughout the enterprise, as well as developing and mentoring more-junior analysts and engineers.
 Provides application and integration architecture Quality Assurance reviews.
 Supports the technology solutions and estimating in proposals for change, planning and pricing.

Skills and Experience
Essential:
5 years experience in an Applications, Integrations or Software Architect role
3 years experience supporting applications and development in cloud-driven transformations with Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Salesforce, Oracle Cloud, etc., including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS models.
Advanced hands on knowledge in several of the following software development languages: C#, Java, JavaScript, JScript, PHP, SQL, HTML, ASP, JSP, VBScript, Python, Perl, Ruby, R, ABAP, COBOL, Fortran, Node.js, Scala
Advanced Integrated Development Environments (IDE) knowledge: Eclipse, Microsoft Visual Studio, X-Code, NetBeans
Advanced Source Code Repository tools knowledge: Git, Bitbucket, Subversion, Sourceforge
Advanced Code Analysis tools knowledge: Black Duck, SonarQube
Advanced Build tools knowledge: Maven, Jenkins, Hudson, Buildbot
Advanced Deployment tools knowledge: Chef, Puppet, Go, CodeDeploy
Advanced Testing tools knowledge: Selenium, Grid, Cucumber
Advanced skills designing and deploying of Web Services, XML, SOAP, REST, Serverless Architectures, Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), Microservices, etc.
Strong knowledge of Web/Application Servers and Middleware: Microsoft IIS, Apache HTTP Server, nginx, Microsoft .NET Framework, Oracle Java, Oracle GlassFish Server, Red Hat JBoss, SAP NetWeaver Application Server, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle WebLogic Server, IBM WebSphere, WSO2, TIBCO, etc.
Strong knowledge of modern software development methods: Test Driven Development (TDD), Agile Software Development (Kanban, Scrum), Extreme Programming (XP), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), etc.
Strong knowledge of software development processes: Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), DevOps.
Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work independently with minimal direction, self-starter/self-motivated

Technical writing experience.

Qualifications:
Masters Degree in a Computer Science subject or equivalent demonstrable professional experience.
