As a professional buyer
You are in charge of managing all sourcing activities associated with the regional tactical spend and delegated spend in the region, responsible for delivering cost savings, payment channel compliance and supplier optimization. You will also be responsible all communication with suppliers and negotiations, you are also responsible for all Regional Market knowledge for various categories.
Some of your responsibilities are:
Buyer Management
• You will lead supplier communications, including sourcing event invitations, issue resolution, pricing terms negotiations, and contracting
• You will be responsible to assess change needs, impacts, and partner management activities and support change management integration activities
Buying
• Lead the purchase order process, including creating and approving the purchase requisition, selecting suppliers, verifying budget alignment, and confirming delivery of orders, perform supplier negotiations and process payment requests, you need to execute sourcing events, evaluate results, communicate with suppliers on quotes, work with contracting, and enable updates in ERP systems, and also receive, analyze, and resolve supplier inquiries, disputes, and payment discrepancies
As a Local/ Spot Buying you will
• Perform one-off exception purchases, negotiate final pricing terms, and select suppliers based on singular demand
• Manage spot-buy activities from requestors, direct along appropriate channels, and resolve any inquiries and disputes
• Perform data analytics, forecast demand, and identify baselines for purchasing that meet prioritized business requirements
Analyze and Review Contracts
• Determine requirements for contract creation, create contract, and leverage purchase order terms
Market Intelligence Management
• Prioritize and validate potential strategic options, determine the benefits cases for these options, and measure the performance against established KPI benchmarks
• Assist in the development of the long term procurement vision
• Assure that buying activities are aligned to industry standards and meet regulatory requirements Review and approve contracts and amendments

Desired profile

Qualifications

Qualifications

·  A bachelor degree is required, with a preferred concentration in Statics, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineer
·  A minimum of 3 years of related experience in procurement
·  Ability to work in a dynamic environment, with tight timelines.
·  Excellent English communication/presentation skills (written, spoken) Portuguese is a very good plus.
·  Experience and exposure to Global and Matrix organizations preferred
·  Customer focused and experience working in a shared service environment preferred
·  Proven past experience in running high frequency tactical buying desks
·  Experience in high frequency tactical buying
