Based in Melbourne CBD, as a Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to acquire in-depth energy markets knowledge in order to validate the client's energy cost and consumption data, collaborate with the subject matter experts to rectify issues found, and contribute to the improvement of processes for efficiently identifying and rectifying data exceptions

Our Energy & Sustainability Services (ESS) business provides a range of consultancy services to large energy consumers drawing upon extensive first-hand experience in the wholesale and retail sectors of the Australian energy markets. Services include energy procurement strategy, energy cost and consumption data collection and validation and energy accounting services. Our specialised service enables our clients to meet the requirements for sustainability targets and our proprietary Energy Accounting System and data operations team ensure that the client's energy bills are effectively validated, disputed in the cases of incorrect billing by the retailer and paid.

Whilst, not wishing to narrow the field, we do believe there are particular attributes instrumental to success in this role. You will demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical skills, a keen eye for reading and interpreting contracts, reviewing bills and obtaining resolutions on discrepancies. Your excellent communication and articulation skills will be essential to effectively communicate pertinent information to the appropriate parties in the English. Your curiosity, passion and strong ability to problem solve will mean you will be hungry to identify and resolve billing discrepancies. You will be flexible yet able to focus on multiple priorities managing your time effectively while remaining customer-centric. Your computer skills will be strong with a particular focus on MS Excel.
