Responsible for ensuring ongoing positive customer relationships with SAS by addressing customer inquiries, issues and concerns. Creates and coordinates proactive product specific retention campaigns.

 

Primary Responsibilities

·  Executes value assessment programs within specified accounts to maximize the use of SAS solutions that address customer needs.
·  Uncovers additional sales opportunities within current customers and directs leads accordingly.
·  Addresses customer inquiries with appropriate internal resources to ensure customer satisfaction with SAS solutions and services.
·  Serves as a post-sale contact for service implementations, including service kick-offs.
·  Develops and maintains positive customer relationships.
·  Networks within the account to find new opportunities and new contacts.
·  Works with customers and internal resources to coordinate contract renewals.
·  Delivers client presentations at SAS events.
·  Advises other sales staff regarding non-standard and complex deals.
·  Provides recommendations regarding contracts and contract issues to other sales staff.
·  May serve as a primary point of contact for customers during assigned implementations.
·  Delivers customer feedback regarding SAS solutions and services to appropriate departments and divisions.
·  Introduces new versions of SAS software, services and education opportunities to existing customers.
·  Develops strategy to work with customers and internal resources to coordinate contract renewals.
·  Manages the protection of revenue for the existing renewal stream.
·  Assesses account needs and recommend appropriate solutions by applying knowledge of Institute marketing goals and objectives, SAS applications, supported hardware platforms, marketing and business trends, and industry knowledge.
·  Works closely with virtual sales team, account managers and executives to facilitate timely response to highly qualified, high revenue potential leads.

Essential Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, MIS, or other relevant discipline.
·  Minimum of 2 years of experience in the sales, marketing, or technical support of computer software solutions (including related training products and services), computer hardware, or telecommunications software/hardware.
·  Previous experience or interest in Public Policy  

Additional Requirements

·  Knowledge of basic sales techniques,
·  Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills,
·  Good organizational skills.
·  Ability to work and learn independently;
·  Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
·  Ability to travel occasionally;
·  Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume sales environment.
·  Knowledge of SAS products, solutions and services preferred.
·  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·  Ability to “close” interactions with next steps articulated and understood
·  Ability to manage multiple efforts with multiple accounts at the same time
·  Ability and interest to reach into whitespace parts of the account, places where we don’t already have users or knowledge about SAS
·  Ability to network within accounts and connect the dots for the team’s benefit
·  Strategically oriented mindset whilst delivering multiple tactical event driven assets

Preferences

·  3-5 years of relevant work experience with analytics
