About Innovation Center Silicon Valley 

The Innovation Center Silicon Valley (ICSV) explores unconventional ideas, enables revenue, and scales innovation by embracing the entrepreneurial spirit and driving customer engagements within and beyond SAP. We generate new intellectual property for SAP in a highly creative environment to incubate new ideas; demonstrate feasibility of new technologies; support board level initiatives; and extend the research topics from the Hasso Plattner Institute. We also work with our field organizations to identify high value business scenarios and enable revenue for strategic opportunities. 

 

Product and Design Group at ICSV 

This group acts as a liaison between all other disciplines at ICSV and offers its services in product management and UX design. As a small team, we like to stay as generalists with product owners and designers collaborating heavily with other team members. 

As a Product Specialist, you are expect to have a techno-functional bent of mind, continuously learn about the new technologies that the team and SAP are working on, find business applications of these technologies, represent ICSV and SAP at various internal and external forums, and closely collaborate with different functions within ICSV. 

 

Responsibilities: 

·  Keep abreast with the emerging technological trends like Machine Learning /Artificial Intelligence, Augmented / Virtual Reality, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision and Image Processing, Enterprise Bots, etc. and be keen to find business gateways for these technologies 
·  Product Vision - Define the business case for ICSV customer engagements & products and have a longer term vision to evaluate, on a case by case basis, if there is potential for a customer engagement to be scale to a standard product 
·  Backlog Management for customer engagements and, if applicable, scaled product 
·  Foster a close network with various teams within SAP to ensure smooth operation of customer engagements and product development 
·  Team Evangelist – Represent ICSV in various internal and external events, meetings with customers, forums, and webinars 
·  Team Leadership – clearly articulate the product vision to the team and the management; motivate and inspire the team 
·  Participate in scrum calls and lead sprint reviews to ensure compliance with backlog 
·  Work with designers to create storyboards and mockups 
·  Participate in / Facilitate / Co-facilitate Design Thinking workshops 
·  Produce and socialize MRD and PRD 

 

Key Skills: 

·  College degree is required 
·  2-3 years of prior work experience 
·  2+ years of prior work experience in management consulting and / or software product management 
·  Familiarity with Design Thinking Methodology and Agile Development 
·  Be familiar with fundamentals of in-memory computing 
·  Be familiar with basics of Data Science and its business applications
