SAP Palo Alto is looking for an intern to join the SAP Digital Enterprise Platform Marketing team to support the Finance Operations team. This department has a history of employing interns and is committed to providing a well balanced mix of quality projects and more tactical tasks. Our interns are very deeply integrated with the team and we endorse internship durations of 6 months or longer. The intern will become a member of the Marketing Operations team gaining exposure to many strategic, high level and cross projects.

Expectations & Tasks

· Process and track shopping carts and interface with Purchasing team to process PO’s.
· Review and track a high volume of WBS and shopping cart requests.
· Reconcile vendor invoices.
· Track actual spending against organization cost centers.
· Interface with management at all levels to resolve issues, provided spending data and support overall finance performance goals of Organization.

Skills / Competencies

· Broad business perspective with demonstrated organizational and administrative skills
· Strong communication, analytic and interpersonal skills
· Up-to-date on latest technology in office environments
· Experienced in office software applications
· Knowledge of the software industry a plus
· Ability to multi-task and manage expectations and prioritize
· Ability to build, leverage and maintain a network of SAP internal and external contacts and working relationships
· Works effectively in a complex matrix environment with virtual teams of high-level professionals.

Educational Requirements

· Technical Communications, Marketing Communications, English, or related communications coursework
· Requires candidates to currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or Masters in topic areas such as Technical Communications, Marketing Communications, English, etc.
· College or Master’s degree in Business Administration, marketing or computer science
· Leading marketing project experience (2+ years)
· Project management experience, preferably in a multi-site/ international environment at a top 100 company
