Purpose & Objective of Position
Part of the Business Insight & Technology, the Enterprise Analytics team drives SAP's internal global Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics strategy. The team is committed to enabling strategic insight & execution of the business through the design and delivery of innovative and effective business intelligence solutions.
Within Enterprise Analytics, the Marketing Cluster team defines the technical roadmap, builds the Marketing analytics foundation and develops solutions and tools that are used by Marketing professionals at SAP.
As a member of the Marketing Cluster team, you will actively participate to the entire lifecycle of Business Intelligence solutions implementation. You will play an active role in the setup, development and support of various components needed for best-in-class BI solutions while ensuring alignment with SAP’s technical landscape and processes.
This eight-month internship offers an excellent opportunity for broad exposure working with a global and diversified team of Business Intelligence professionals.
Expectations & Tasks
Development / coding of Analytics solutions
Direct interaction with global team members and end-users
Prepare and present presentations/status reports
Document architecture and procedures
Skills / Competencies
Communication Skills (written, verbal, and listening)
Ability to work independently and to multi-task (reliable, responsible and accountable)
Attention to details – quick learner
Experienced with JavaScript and HTML5
Knowledgeable with SQL scripting, data modeling and database design
Educational Requirements (degrees, class completion, etc.)
• Enrollment in a Computer Science, Information Systems or similar (Information Technology focused), MIS or DSS degree program preferred
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Must have completed sophomore year of school
• Position is open to undergraduate & graduate students
Qualifications: Requires candidates to currently be enrolled in an undergraduate, Masters, MBA or PhD degree program which is applicable to the position.
Can commit for 8 months full time internship starting May 2017.
