What We Are Doing
HANA Kernel Development team in Seoul is leading the architecture design and implementation of transaction management, Cloud-scale distributed processing, k-safe replication, smart session/network protocol, smart workload analysis (using machine learning technology as well), metadata management, storage engine, HW/SW co-design and many other important core components in SAP HANA in-memory database, tightly co-working with other SAP HANA development team in Germany and North America.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team. Resolves complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues. Shows initiative and drives topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency.
Works closely together with others and shares expertise to ensure product success.
Constantly improves own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills. Enhances skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team.

Required SKILLS / TALENTS
Responsible for design and implementation of SAP HANA In-memory database kernel

·  Expertise in C or C++ development
·  Understanding on either of computer architecture, operating systems, database systems or artificial intelligence
·  Should be familiar with Linus environment
·  Responsibility, Integrity, Teamwork
·  Interest and talent on solving 'REAL' problems with new ideas and logical reasoning
·  A basic business level of English

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION

·  Undergraduate/graduate students or experienced programmer in the area of computer architecture, operating systems, file systems, database, compiler, programming language, parallel processing, machine learning or networking
