Sanofi’s Immuno-Oncology Therapeutic Area based in Vitry-sur-Seine, France is seeking a highly qualified and motivated PhD level post-doctoral candidate with an interest in Natural Killer (NK) cell biology and cancer immunotherapy. The successful candidate will provide scientific leadership and play a pivotal role in advancing the understanding of NK cell regulatory mechanism and enable discovery of novel regulators of NK cell immune functions and anti-tumor activity. The candidate will have a unique opportunity to work and train in a multidisciplinary research environment and will work closely with different scientists in Immuno-Oncology, Precision Oncology and Translational Sciences. The candidate will also assume responsibility to complete leading edge research for presentation in scientific meetings and publication.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

·  Lead research efforts in Sanofi’s Immuno-Oncology Therapeutic Area to understand NK cell regulatory receptors in cancer.
·  Establish an in vitro screening to discover and characterize key regulatory receptor of NK cell immune functions and anti-tumor activity.
·  Implement multiple state-of-the-art techniques in molecular and cellular biology to increase NK cell cytotoxicity against tumor cell lines.
·  Maintain a working knowledge of current experimental techniques and literature in the field of NK cell biology and NK cell therapies.
·  Analyze, interpret, and present experimental results at lab meetings and share scientific results with our multi-disciplinary research group.
·  Publish/present findings in peer-reviewed journals/scientific conferences.
·  Work well with colleagues in a matrixed, fast-paced pharmaceutical research environment.
·  Maintain accurate records of experiments and analyses.
·  Maintain lucid and effective communication with manager and other colleagues

Basic Qualifications:

·  PhD in Immunology or Immuno-Oncology with publications in internationally recognized journals in the area of NK cell biology. Expertise in NK cell biology, characterization and functional manipulation.
·  Experience in cell culture, cell-based assays, co-culture systems, multicolor flow cytometry and FACS
·  Excellent English speaking, reading and writing skills
·  Strong analytical and organizational skills
·  Curiosity and a willingness to work independently and in collaboration with internal and external partners.
·  Excellent teamwork skills and flexibility

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Expertise in NK cell functional screens implementation and analysis.
·  Expertise in gene editing and/or gene expression will be appreciated.
·  A first experience as a post-doc in Immuno-Oncology and/or NK cell biology is a plus (0-2 years of prior postdoctoral training).

Basic French speaking skills are preferred but not mandatory
