Job description



JOB PURPOSE:

·  Achieve predetermined sales targets via a Push & Pull Strategy

*Push – SP Vaccines into facilities through depot & regional pharmacy engagements

*Pull – SP Vaccines out of facilities by driving vaccinations at facility level through vaccinator education and training

·  Identification & Management of stock movement dynamics and coverage rates in KZN, Eastern Cape & Western Cape via engagements at Depots, Regional Pharmacies, DDV sites and EPI Program Managers
·  Developing and monitoring a Territory Sales Tracker to measure performance and customer dynamics
·  Ensure implementation and feedback of marketing and medical strategies
·  Collaborate with District & sub-district program managers to increase coverage rates in KZN, Eastern & Western Cape
·  Identify need and drive activities of effective vaccine management to ensure continuous and optimal stock levels are maintained on a monthly basis.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·  Achieve sales targets within Coastal Provinces across key account customers.
·  Implement, drive & manage Marketing and Sales Strategies to bring visibility & drive predictability of orders within the Public Sector Value Chain.
·  Define and manage Key Accounts in the Districts via continuous engagements with Regional Pharmacies & District Program Managers.
·  Develop a solid relationship with District and sub-district program managers and pharmacists in order to understand and manage market dynamics across provinces.
·  Develop Sales Trackers to manage demand behaviour from Key Accounts.
·  Drive activities in collaboration with program managers in order to increase and improve coverage rates
·  Ensure allocated A&P is utilized per sales and marketing strategies
·  Take full accountability and ownership of the ordering and relationship at assigned customers.
·  Cross collaboration (ONE SANOFI) Approach with T&R Public sector team in order to expand reach within districts via joint activities.
·  Serve as the company’s direct link to the relevant institutions and provide relevant and immediate feedback on changes in the purchasing & clinical landscape to better determine risks and opportunities.
·  Attend EPI and CDC Meetings in districts and provide feedback on developments and opportunities
·  Ensuring all activities and engagements with and without customers are within SANOFI SOP requirements

JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS :

Education:

·  Tertiary education. Ideally with scientific background.

Experience & Knowledge:

·  Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to converse on a high level with public healthcare officials.
·  Minimum 2 years public sector experience
·  Based in KwaZulu-Natal.
·  Having an established network and relationships with Key Stakeholders within the Public Sector environment in KZN is key. Eastern & Western Cape networks will be beneficial.
·  Demonstrates ability to understand financial, regulatory, legal and human resource issues and their impact on the sales function.
·  High level of computer literacy and the ability to analyze, monitor & draw conclusions from large data sets

Core Competencies:

Knowledge

·  Knowledge of public sector landscape and the key drivers of demand is critical
·  Knowledge of vaccines will be beneficial
·  Minimum 2 years of public health landscape and the understanding of key drivers of demand is important.
·  Mapping of Key accounts by District and by sub-district
·  Strong relationships in KZN public health landscape is important
