Job description

Biomarkers and Clinical Bioanalysis Clinical Diagnostics (BCB-CD) is a CLIA accredited high-complexity laboratory within Sanofi R&D that supports late stage clinical development and marketed drugs. The lab develops and validates clinical assays in support of biomarker studies and monitor patient immune responses to investigational and commercial therapeutic products.

The position within BCB-CD Clinical Physicochemical Analysis will be responsible for supervising a small team of clinical scientists in a compliant laboratory environment (GCLP and CLIA/NY/MA). Key responsibilities include but not limit to:

Supervise high complexity biomarker test by LC/MS/MS Support release of patient results, procure critical reagents and prepare quality document as necessary Responsible for proficiency testing, competency evaluation and quality improvement Assure laboratory quality for CLIA/NY state inspection readiness Assist with laboratory automation implementation and laboratory information system (LIMS) upgrade

Basic Qualifications:

·  Master's degree in life science, toxicology, medical technology or clinical laboratory sciences from an accredited institution with minimum four years of clinical laboratory experience or.
·  Ph.D. degree in toxicology, chemical, physical or biological science from an accredited institution with minimum two years of experience working in clinical lab setting.
·  Qualified candidates should have excellent communication and writing skills. Proficient with Microsoft and experience in LIMS.

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Extensive experience utilizing triple quadrupole or higher mass resolution mass spectrometer for quantitative analysis of biomarkers is preferable. Candidate with clinical lab technologist licensure or ASCP (MT) or equivalent is highly desirable.
