Job description

This position, Manager Project Management, within the Manufacturing Technology (Mtech) function of Vaccines Industrial Affairs (VIA) delivers the highest quality project objectives by balancing scope, costs and schedule within the Swiftwater MTech Operating Plan while guaranteeing the application of Project Management Best Practices in order to estimate, challenge, monitor and control project and portfolio resources and costs.

The mission of MTech function is to deliver robust and efficient process & testing with associated know how transfer to Manufacturing & QC. The MTech function also provides daily support manufacturing and QC toward industrial performance excellence.

·  On behalf of the Performance Excellence and Portfolio Management function (PEPM/MPM), the individual in this position will secure the achievement of MTech operating plan on budget and on-time deliverables within the expected quality, timelines and costs in order to ensure the highest efficiency in the MTech project portfolio and successfully complete the project portfolio. The individual in this position will also (lead or be involved) in cross –functional teams from various functions in VIA to deliver the following:

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·  May act as a project manager or functional planner on single projects: Evaluate and forecast project resource needs within business tools, develop project schedules and deliverables, align standard planning tools (SHINE, SAP) with needs throughout the life of the project. Identify conflicts or opportunities to leverage materials for use across multiple projects; preparation of project gate reviews.
·  PM / Portfolio Software (SHINE; Planisware) administration management, including consolidation of requirements for the MTech Project Portfolio for analysis:
·  Consolidate, review, analyze and communicate project needs (human resources, testing, batches, consumables, etc.) across the portfolio; seek input from project managers and leaders to analyze variances to project resourcing and budget.
·  Provide technical expertise and mentorship in the use of project management tools and best practices within the project team in compliance with Sanofi Pasteur guidelines, ensuring the management of the business portfolio and application consistently across all projects.
·  Administrates all aspects of SHINE database on behalf of MTech to include training, resource creation, time tracking QC, Monthly quality checks, best practices, etc.
·  Manages the portfolio deliverable setting process with Project Leaders and Project Managers.
·  Prepare and analyze portfolio status communications for management as requested (costs, spending, resource utilization, etc.)
·  Support long range Strategic Planning foundation, updates and baseline
·  Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives: development and execution of department standards and methodologies to track projects; business process improvement
·  Provide administrative support for Process Order Database / SAP

THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

·  Analyzes business practices and utilizes Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint data consolidation in order to generate / create templates to communicate functional performance efficiently.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·  Bachelor's Degree in project management, scientific, engineering, finance or technical discipline with 1-5 years industry experience

OR Master's degree in project management, scientific, engineering, finance or technical discipline with 1-2 years experience

·  Strong experience with Microsoft Excel; pivot tables and graphs (creating macros is a plus)
·  At least 2 years experience working with Microsoft PowerPoint

PREFERRED SKILLS:

·  At least 6 months exposure to:

SAP and data sharing tools
