Job description

Mission

The mission of the Digital Technologist is to ensure the robustness and reliability and cost/benefit balance in the implementation of all technical solutions provided by the MCM GSC, with full consistency with the MCM Platforms Architecture and the strategy defined by the Service Owner.

Main interactions

The Digital technologist interacts mainly with

·  GSC Project Managers and ITS BP who are in charge of the definition of business requirements
·  To propose the technical solution that satisfy business requirements
·  Technology vendors
·  To determine technology specifications, integration requirements, restrictions, etc.
·  MCM Platforms Architects in Sanofi
·  To obtain guidance and the high level framework where all technical solutions must be integrated.
·  With ITS Security Officers
·  To ensure the application of ITS Security policies.
·  With other DTs
·  To share knowledge, request and provide support.

Key individual accountabilities

·  During a project lifetime
·  Assume the roles of Project Technical Coordinator and Application Support Expert as defined in PUMA, in other words:
·  Is ultimately responsible for all technical aspects of the project
·  Designs and builds system architecture for all environments (Prod, test, training, dev ...) following established architecture guidelines.
·  Recommend additions to architecture guidelines to the Architecture Team as needed.
·  Reports to the Project Manager on all technical related activities
·  Leads and coordinates all technical activities
·  Monitors and controls the technical activities progress and provides visibility on it
·  Is in charge of Level 2-3 support from the IS application side
·  Review and validate technical proposals from vendors in terms of
·  Technical consistency and alignment with Sanofi standards.
·  Justification of costs / timelines
·  Alternatives with lower ratio cost/benefit
·  ITS Security policies
·  Analyse opportunities to re-use solutions developed in other regions, and extend the requirements of new solutions to maximize the future reuse in other regions.
·  Audit technical implementation of new solutions, including HTML best practices in websites, redundancy capabilities, and performance and capacity capabilities.
·  Contribute to the preparation of test scripts for new technical solutions, to ensure that in addition to the business requirements, technical requirements are included in the test strategy.
·  Support the execution of the UAT for new technical solutions.
·  Support the build, test and release into production of existing solutions related to integration with internal services or third parties (e.g. user data with non-EMS data bases, interfaces with external product databases, e-Commerce …).
·  Ensure that all technical solutions are delivered along with the necessary documentation for future use, maintenance, support and evolution.

·  As interface with MCM Architects and Service Owners
·  Convey the knowledge generated by these roles, and the rest to DTs, to ensure that all members of the Regional Service Centre have a correct understanding of all technical capabilities that support GSC Services. As examples:
·  Functionalities, flexibility and set up
·  Evolution Roadmap
·  Standard solutions for data integration
·  Collect from the Regional Service Center proposals of opportunities for new technical solutions that can increase the value proposition of the GSC services. Work with MCM Architects and Service Owners to assess feasibility, costs … and come back to Regional Service Centre with results.
·  Receive from the members of the Regional Service Centre inquires for information of the different MCM GSC solutions, and escalate when appropriate.
·  Review the Service Quality KPI's generated by the Service Owner and analyse root cause of service breaches.

·  System support and maintenance
·  Supervision of resolution of incidents that are managed by external vendors.
Reporting of incidents to Service Owner.
·  Second level of support to business for platforms operated by the business, such as
·  Web content management systems
·  Email campaigns tools
·  Multi-channel orchestration tools

First level of support to be delivered by the platform vendor when possible.

·  Be part of and support the community of Digital Technologists to ensure harmonized ways of working across regions.
·  Administrate access rights to platform operated by business (see above) within the geographical perimeter of responsibility.

Required skills

·  3+ years of web development
·  Excellent HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript and cross-browser layout skills and knowledge, experience of the full web technology stack
·  Experience in Project Management
·  Experience in Vendor relationships
·  Experience in systems administration and software engineering.
·  Good communication skills

·  Commitment to task
·  Applications: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
·  Level 3 accreditation in Sitecore 8.x, including official “Sitecore Experience Solution Developer Course” official certification.
·  Good knowledge of the architecture and data model for the concrete CRM solution that is relevant to the regional Service Centre
·  Mastery in testing/audit tools for main platforms (web content, middleware, …)

Good knowledge of UAT strategy, techniques and tools (TestRail, Jira, …)
