Job description

The Associate Manager, Portfolio Marketing, US Rare Blood Disorders will be responsible for developing and leading marketing projects and operations important to the success of the Sanofi Genzyme Rare Blood Disorders team. This person will provide day-to-day oversight of an external vendor and 3-5 individuals responsible for the promotional review board (PRB) management across the portfolio. The successful candidate will lead and support strategic and tactical execution of elements related to the RBD portfolio marketing strategy as it relates to our internal stakeholders, including communication and employee engagement efforts.

This person will be responsible for facilitating cross-functional team meetings, ensuring project milestones are met within established timelines. Key initiatives include, but are not limited to, marketing programs, public relations efforts, written and verbal communications, and marketing operations infrastructure-building projects. The candidate must be highly organized, flexible, and adept at handling multiple projects with tight deadlines. This will be a highly visible position interacting with senior leadership, many internal functional groups, as well as external vendors. 

The ideal candidate will have had prior pharmaceutical/biotech marketing and/or marketing operations experience.  They would also have experience working on large-scale, complex projects, supporting and working with various stakeholders. Ideally, the candidate will have experience working within or managing a promotional review board. The Associate Manager will report to the Head of Portfolio Marketing and will be based in Cambridge, MA.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

· 
Lead cross functional projects that will impact our employees within the Rare Blood Disorders team.

· 
Develop full scale project plans and timelines, managing all project risks, tracking project deliverables, communications, meeting evaluations and assessment of results, leading creation of content, gaining alignment with cross-functional teams, and preparing & delivering updates for leadership teams.

· 
Oversee the Coordinators of five RBD promotional review boards, serving as the team’s expert and ensuring day-to-day operations and protocols are followed, helping the team to troubleshoot issues and concerns, clarifying processes, and identifying efficiencies.

· 
Drive the design, launch and maintenance of the internal Rare Blood Disorders team portal and manage the RBD full team roster.

· 
Evolve the RBD Franchise within Sanofi by leading employee engagement efforts, including:

· 
Employee onboarding efforts.

· 
Internal communication, including a bi-weekly Dashboard and developing an editorial calendar.

· 
Re-energizing the team’s internal fun committee efforts.

· 
Creating materials to explain the RBD culture & values and to rally employees around it.

· 
Ownership of general RBD Portfolio materials leveraged by employees.

· 
Manage agency partner and other vendors to ensure execution towards objectives.

· 
Ensure that all marketing processes, documents and tactics are developed and implemented in accordance with Sanofi Genzyme corporate compliance guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

· 
BA/BS degree required. Advanced Degree in Marketing or Life Sciences preferred

· 
Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in marketing, marketing operations or a related function (preferably pharmaceutical/biotech) required

In addition, the ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:

· 
Experience in developing innovative marketing, educational and communication platforms.

· 
Experience working in or overseeing a promotional review board.

· 
Experience in managing external partners and customers to assist in the development of strategy and tactics.

· 
Excellent collaboration skills and ability to partner effectively with cross functional partners.

· 
Excellent analytical skills, well organized, and detail oriented.

· 
Ability to think strategically and work independently.

· 
Strong writing and presentation skills.

· 
Demonstrated ability to manage several large complex projects simultaneously.

· 
Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation, and leadership skills.

· 
Comfortable working in a fast pace and high expectation organization where the focus is on both what you do, and how you accomplish your goals and objectives.

· 
Experience with Veeva 4M PromoMats and SharePoint preferred.
