In the BioAnalytics Characterization group, you will be part of a team whose focus is on the biochemical and biophysical characterization of therapeutic proteins at all stages of development. This Co-op will focus on exploring the effect of complex glycosylation on therapeutic enzyme replacement therapies and antibodies. The candidate will be trained to express and purify a panel of enzyme replacement therapies and monoclonal therapeutic antibodies with both normal and GnTI deficient cells to evaluate the effect of complex N-glycans on charge, structure, and function. Techniques involved would include cell culture, protein purification, cIEF, SDS-PAGE and/or CE, SPR, HPLC, and ELISA. Excellent communication skills, the ability to cooperate with others in a team environment and ability to multitask will be critical to success.
