Communications intern to assist the Communications Function in preparing internal Company publications over the summer months.

•Selects, writes and reviews/proofread articles and memos for employee communications.
•Interviews internal stakeholder to obtain items for publication and to verify facts, content generation for stories.
•Develops, recommends and maintains editorial policy.
•Will coordinate production and distribution activities.
•Frequent internal Company and/or external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects.
•Event planning: logistics support and planning for internal meetings
•Vendor management: development of POs, SOWs, and billing for external resources in support of internal programs.
•Keep Communications department SOPs, guidebook and Policies updated.
•Some administrative support for the communications department, as necessary.

Minimum requirements

1.Preferred Competencies/Experiences: Creativity, organizational skills, verbal communication skills; Interest in Event planning; social media interest/competency.

2.Key “Must Have” Competencies/Experiences: Solid writing skills; ppt/Microsoft office skills; Ability to work independently and under pressure; Excellent written and verbal communications skills; Flexible and agile approach; High integrity and values

3.Impact on organization: Will deliver communications plans internally (writing, newsletter, event planning) to increase employee engagement. Role will support Women in Leadership (WIL) and Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) events, two important groups in impacting the culture at Sandoz. Will support external communications as part of the development into role.

1.Entering Junior year min.
2.Preferred Journalism/Communications Major, but will also consider business majors who are interested in communications as part of their focus.
3.GPA 3.0 or above
4.PowerPoint, SharePoint preferred.
5.Ability to work cross functionally
