Alcon Geneva – 12 month fixed term contract
Purpose of position
The purpose for this position is to support EMEA Legal & Compliance Department for the delivery of general operational support related to EMEA legal and compliance matters. The role will focus on supporting lawyers and compliance officers/managers in their day-to-day work in relation to contracting, documents management, SOPs and projects.
Major Accountabilities
Legal department:
• Analyze contracts regarding contractual rights and obligations - type of contracts: procurement contracts, service contracts, etc.
• Provide support in the negotiation of contracts with third parties
• Drafting amendments that refer to contractual terms or extensions thereof
• Assist on Regional Legal projects and collect information from countries
• Draft and/or update contract templates
• Update and monitor Legal and Compliance website
• Legal research
• Other legal projects
Contract Management
• Manage the contracting process among stakeholders and perform relevant trainings
• Draft relevant policies/ procedures and amend accordingly
• Generate reports on current status of existing contracts
• Monitor and complete contract close-out, extension or renewal, as appropriate.
Under the guidance of the Regional Compliance Officer:
• Assist on main Compliance projects, by liaising with the countries and understand and document trend and potential compliance issues
• Monitor compliance risks and remediation plans set up by countries
• Update internal policies and procedure templates
• Establish training materials for the business and the associates to ensure procedures are well understood, implemented and complied with
• Handle data privacy issues
• Train people on legal and compliance topics.

• Bachelor or Master Student of Law.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Paralegal.
• Fluency in English
