Job Purpose
Generating, mining, analyzing and synthesizing data & insights for our brands is critical to the development of brand and customer strategies and to driving business performance. Such insights need to be oriented around the business questions a team needs to solve for, and should be based on either secondary analytics or primary sources of insights.

This individual will work directly with brand teams to address business questions (‘the whats’), identify insights (the ‘so-whats’), suggest ideas (the ‘what nexts’) to help maximize brand growth/sales in a profitable way.

Major Accountabilities
• Forecasting:
• Maintain robust and accurate net and gross national and provincial forecasts, proactively identifying risks and opportunities over every year of the planning period.
• Ensure all forecasts assumptions are fully documented and triangulated with global/other CPO assumptions with clear identification and quantification of changes versus prior submission and prior year
• Support the Budget Impact Analyses process with robust public/private provincial forecasts, including source of business, market share, etc.
• Ensure fair goals for the representatives through a robust and transparent provincial TSA split process

• Secondary Analytics/Reporting
• Develop monthly automated insightful reports that track, analyze and help drive performance.
• Provide on-going monitoring and analysis of competitors as well as targeted competitive intelligence
• Consolidate primary and secondary insights and data for the brand reviews, strategic and brand planning, sales meetings and all financial exercises.

• Primary Market Research:
• Develop yearly market research (MR) plans for their assigned products based on information gaps and brand needs which support their strategic imperatives and optimize brand sales
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative primary research projects with physicians, patients, pharmacists, payers and other health care professionals
• Manage the entire MR process: identify best market research techniques, best vendors, monitor recruitment, analyze/triangulate results and make strategic recommendations. Ensure the leveraging of MR insights by all internal customers.
• Fully leverage global and CPO MR and be an active contributor

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

• B. SC in Life Sciences or B Comm.; (M.B.A. an asset)
• Previous marketing research or related marketing experience an asset
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry an asset.
• Sales experience a strong asset.
• Results driven, analytical, customer focus
• Bilingualism
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills, inquisitive mind
• Strong computer background with experience with MS-Excel-Word-PowerPoint, and ease for learning new programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
